Family papers, 1826-1978.

Original family materials comprise the bulk of the collection which include: correspondence, programs, certificates, invitations, legal documents and photographs. The remainder of the collection consists of the research materials created by Philip K. Alexander while researching his book, Job Adams Cooper, Sixth Governor of the State of Colorado, and his wife, Jane Olivia Barnes Cooper. Photographs include: portraits and group portraits of Job Adams Cooper, Jane Olivia Cooper, family members and descendants. One of the two daguerreotypes show Governor Cooper as a boy and the other his wife as a young woman. Shows the gravestones of Job and Jane Cooper at Fairmount Cemetery in Denver. Denver photographers include: Rose and Co., A.E. Rinehart, and Nast.
